Quick and Easy Party Foods and Snacks

Everybody loves to throw a party; the food, friends and family in a relaxed and festive atmosphere can be exhilarating.

When you are planning a menu for a party, you should take a few things into consideration. You will want to spend as much time with family and friends as possible. The last thing that you will want to do is to spend all of your time in the kitchen preparing food for the party.

Most people opt to serve finger foods and appetizers. This allows you to prepare the foods ahead of time and all you have to do is fill the food trays.

First of all, you will want to serve canaps or cream puffs. These delightful little pastries can be filled with just about anything from decadent pastry to meat filling.

Another excellent platter that you can serve is vegetables, it may seem like a cheap dish to serve, however if it is tastefully done, you can create a wonderful platter that everyone will love.

Making a vegetable platter does not have to be complicated, all you need is celery and carrot sticks. What makes this so easy is that they are already pre sliced and pre cut into the perfect size strips. You can find them in the produce section of any grocery store. To make it look really special, make or buy a sour cream and dill dressing, and empty the container into a green bell pepper. It is absolutely incredible.

Another appetizer that you can make that is really easy is to buy precut pepperoni, crackers and cheese. It is really important that you buy the precut sliced cheese, however do not use the processed cheese. The best cheese that you can buy is the Cabot mild cheddar sliced cheese. You can cut the slices into fourths and each one will fit perfectly on a cracker with a piece of pepperoni.

You do not have to put them together; you can line each one up on a platter and let your guests choose what they want. You should also have bowls of olives and pickles for your guest to munch on.

Having plenty of finger food is necessary for a good party. You do not want to run out before the party is over. using tea bread and deli meats will allow your guests to choose from an assortment of different party delights.

Beverages are an important part of your party. Many people like a glass of wine to relax and it goes well with any of the appetizers. For your non drinking guests, having plenty of coffee and iced beverages on hand allow them to enjoy the atmosphere as well.
